How do I use the Kährs Floor Repair Kits?
Our repair kits are designed to help mend minor dents, scratches, and gouges in our wood and LVT flooring. Each kit comes with instructions, and the process typically involves filling the damaged area with a color-matched filler and then smoothing the surface. What are the essential tools I need for installing Kährs flooring?
5S Locking Tool: The Kahrs 5S Locking Tool is used to easily connect Woodloc floorboards together on their short ends, creating a strong and seamless connection, especially when finishing a row or working in tight spaces. It also provides a simple way to unlock and separate the boards if you ever need to lift or adjust your floor.
Last Board Puller: A last board puller is indispensable for installing the final planks
against the wall. Its design allows you to bridge the gap and pull the last
board into place to create a secure joint where a tapping block cannot be used.
Woodloc Handblock: The hand block, or tapping block, is used along the long edge of Kährs
flooring that has the Woodloc joint. You place the block against the edge and
strike it with a mallet to gently tap the planks together, ensuring a tight and
seamless joint without damaging the flooring.
